CCRG
Career and College Ready Graduates
Career and College Ready Graduates (CCRG) aims to reduce and ultimately eliminate the need for developmental education among high school graduates. It is grounded in a partnership between the NC Community College System (NCCCS) and the NC Department of Instruction (NCDPI).
Through CCRG, high school juniors are evaluated to determine college readiness. Students who are not college ready are required to take CCRG English and/or math courses in their senior year of high school.
College readiness is based on placement criteria in the NCCS that includes the student’s unweighted high school GPA, ACT and/or SAT scores, AP test scores, Career and College Promise (CCP) eligibility, and other factors. Readiness measures are consistent with CCP eligibility and placement.
